TON Wallet Now Available in the United States

Telegram has officially launched its built-in crypto wallet TON Wallet for users in the United States. The new payment service enables U.S. residents to manage their digital assets directly within the Telegram app — no downloads, extensions, or separate logins required.

According to the company, TON Wallet is the first standalone crypto wallet integrated into a major messaging platform in the U.S. market.

Key features include:

• crypto transfers,

• token swaps,

• staking,

• cryptocurrency purchases through a partnership with MoonPay.

Andrey Rogozov, CEO of The Open Platform, emphasized that their split-key technology — linked to a Telegram account and email — eliminates the need for seed phrases while retaining full user control over funds.

The launch became possible after overcoming regulatory hurdles that had previously delayed entry into the U.S. market.

Meanwhile, analysts from Elliptic note that despite efforts to block illegal crypto marketplaces, their clones continue to operate within Telegram, attracting users.
