Snoop Dogg released a song about Telegram after a spat with Durov
Rapper Snoop Dogg has unveiled a new track titled “Gifts”, dedicated to the messaging app Telegram. The music video is now available on his official YouTube channel.
In the video, Snoop highlights his own Telegram channel and various messenger features. He also shows a photograph of Pavel Durov, whom he refers to as “my nephew,” as reported by RBK.
“My nephew Pavo told me something I needed. He sent me a message and said he read it, bookmarked it, quoted it,” the lyrics state.
The song appears to reference digital gifts that users can send within Telegram.
“All I hear is gifts, gifts, gifts… Now they’re telling me these gifts from Snoopy are rolling out to over a billion users,” sings Snoop Dogg.
The video also includes nods to Durov’s many children and even a mention of Telegram being blocked in some regions.
According to RBK, Snoop created his Telegram channel (@snoopdogg) in early May 2025. He later announced it on X, and Durov supported the launch by reposting. The channel now has more than 187,000 subscribers.
Earlier this month, a public spat between Durov and Snoop Dogg erupted. The rapper humorously responded to Durov’s claim of having over 100 children:
“Bro, you’re not just having kids—you’re breeding whole litters. Slow it down a bit,” Snoop remarked.
Durov replied:
“To understand a dogg, one must be a dogg. Let’s discuss this where privacy matters—in Telegram.”
