What is Kick and why is everyone talking about it?

Not long ago, Twitch held the leading position among live streaming platforms. However, in October 2022, its restrictions on online casino streaming became a turning point. In response, in December of the same year, crypto casino Stake announced the launch of a new platform — Kick, which immediately attracted attention with its creator-friendly policies.

How does Kick differ from other platforms?

Unlike Twitch (50%) and YouTube (30%), Kick offers a revolutionary revenue split:

  • 95% of the revenue goes to the streamer,

  • 5% remains with the platform.

Key facts about Kick as of 2025:

  • Over 50 million registered users.

  • Peak viewership — 1.46 million; average — 400,000.

  • Main audience: males aged 18–35.

  • Most popular content: casino and slot streams (38%).

Changes in Kick in 2025

Kick is discontinuing the fixed $16/hour payments for casino streamers. Starting May 1, 2025, the fixed payment program for slot and casino streams will be terminated. Monetization is now available only through donations and referral partner programs. This decision is driven by the platform's desire to reduce reputational risks and shift content focus towards gaming and interactive streams.

Kick today is:

  • A stable platform for traffic.

  • Open opportunities for webmasters, content creators, and advertisers.

  • Flexible monetization options.
