Instagram Adds Most Anticipated Feature — Post Order Customization
Instagram has officially launched a feature that users have long anticipated — the ability to rearrange the order of posts in your profile grid.
Previously, posts were displayed in strict chronological order. Now, with the new update, users can manually drag and drop posts into any desired position. Just tap “Edit Profile” and activate the grid editing mode. This feature is expected to roll out to all users over the next few weeks.
In addition, Instagram is testing “quiet posts” — content that appears in your profile but isn’t shown to your followers’ feeds. The goal is to help reduce the anxiety of public posting and offer a more relaxed creative space.
Recently, social media also extended the maximum duration of Reels to 3 minutes, stepping back from earlier plans to allow 10-minute Reels. The new limit offers more storytelling flexibility without overwhelming viewers.
